Meet the hero that is the first legally licensed cannabis dispensary owner in Colorado. Wanda James owns Simply Pure, a dispensary of cannabis and edibles residing in Denver. That also means she’s the first African American (and her team) legally allowed to sell cannabis in the United States!
Her own brother was put away for ten years for selling marijuana, yet she, because of where she lives is able to sell it and legally make money. She is fighting for the right for people like her brother to be able to make it in this world without being arrested for selling plants.
She once worked on Obama’s Finance Committee and was a campaign manager for Congressman Jared Poll. She also served in the Navy, where she gets her values of getting her mission done.
